Crafty Women

Crafty Women meet the 3rd Saturday of each month to work on Feminine Hygiene Kits for Days for Girls or to make crafts for personal use. Contact Kathie Knouse for more information.

Knit*Pray*Love

This group of women make prayer shawls, preemie caps, and other items to be distributed as needed. There are several women involved who would be delighted to help you get started on these projects.

Reading Program:

In order to participate in the Reading Program you need to read 5 books in a calendar year, one from each of the designated categories. You also need to read United Methodist Women’s response magazine on a regular basis. The books and complete instructions are on the book rack in the UMW area of the Welcome Center. There is at least one year’s worth of response on the UMW counter.

Of course, you may borrow the books for your personal enrichment. Remember this program is on the honor system.

Box Top for Education

The UMW continues to collect Box Tops for Education. The Box Tops go to Red Bird Missionary Conference. The collection jar is on the counter in the Welcome Center. You have helped to purchase tons of school supplies and at least 1 van so far!

Mascara Wands

The UMW is also collecting used CLEAN mascara wands to be used at the Appalachian Wildlife Reserve in NC to remove debris from birds and small animals that have been brought to the reserve for rehabilitation.
